Arts Commons chose TO/GO for their convertible permanent tiered seating

I have to admit that theatre refurbuishing projects are always quite challenging. We were able to make this project happen with the good collaboration of our client Rafal, the accurate communication with Crystel from Ducharme Seating International, and of course with rigorous work from our head designer Benoit Langlois.

This tailored project included over 100 modules and 50 custom shapes, including round shapes.

The 3D scan was helpful to measure the building and the round shape.

The additional challenge was to propose a solution that would match 2 setup configurations with minimal time and cost. The first setup being a full seat configuration and the second being a thrust stage, with the removal of a portion of the seats.

Once all modules were drawn and manufactured, we did a pre-production in our facility to allow the seat company to install the seat inserts into the deck modules.

The set-up was installed in 1 day only in the theatre. The 4'' Drop Down Union Clip was perfect to save time for positionning, leveling  and handling during  installation. Since the platforms were only 3' deep, the union clips played a big role in the overall stability. The decks were clipped together instantly. All we had to do was drop them into place, one and done!

Then, the next day, with only 6 techs and in 4 hours, we had reset the setup for the trust.

Our patented SB Series Deck System was perfect to reduce the quantity of legs; a KEY factor in time and cost savings.

TRUST STAGE THEATER

Ducharme has extraordinary seats that are all removable! The seats have been positionned in a way so that that the viewing is optimal. The challenge  we had to share with Arts Common and Durcharme was to find the best platform size to minimize cost and maximize viewing.
